This last weekend we had a lot of fun just hanging around the house playing. Gibson loves being on the Love Sac so that is his new playground. He loves his toy turtle and thinks it tastes yummy too. Etta loves to take over his play gym that is on the floor. Hatcher just plays around them as if they aren't even there. But Etta does try to boss him around and it is so cute to here her tell him to "be quite Hatchy". We watched a couple of football games (everyone that was on). Then on Saturday evening some friends of mine wanted to go out to eat so we watched their little girl, who is Etta's age and little boy, who is Gibson's age. Too many kids for me if they were mine but OK to babysit.
Gibby relaxing and eating his turtle.
Etta has taken claim of Gibby's toy, and Hatcher doing what Hatcher does best.
Daddy and Gibby watching Football together.
Etta with her friend Emily, She did pretty good sharing her toys with Emily.

I'm back
Etta and Andy came home today. I just grabbed her and gave her the biggest hug. She had on the cutest Halloween outfit but I forgot to take a picture. (I was to excited to have my daughter back). She gave me a big kiss and a nose kiss. Her favorite kiss to give now.
Andy didn't have a fun time with her on the way home. There weren't any open seats so she had to sit on his lap. She fussed and squirmed and at the end flat out screamed most of the time. That's what happens when you have to wake a child up at 5:00am and then not allow them to play.
"Don't be fooled by this darling smile - she can be a little brat!" says daddy
She came home with a jack pot of things from Grandma's and I am sure she had the time of her life being the center of attention. She will still say "See ya ... Reno" When she doesn't get her way.
Thanks Donna for letting her play with you for two days!

Just Me and My Boy
Gibson has Mommy all to himself and he loves it. We slept in, cuddled and smiled all day Tuesday. We didn't accomplish much but Gibson and mommy time.
He has started to make little laughing and giggling sounds and loves to show me his big smile.
Today(Wednesday) we went to the Library to book baby. He got all the attention with the songs and books. Then we went on a few errands around town, met up with my mom for lunch and then spent an hour at the Verizon store. He was such a good boy.
If your Happy and you know it clap your hands.
I am sure he will be happy to see Etta but miss the full attention he has had with her gone. I will have to make special time for him again.

To Grandmother's house she goes
Monday night we headed to the airport. Andy was headed to a world trade show for Out N Back and he was taking Etta. It is held in Reno and that is where Andy's mother lives. Etta was going on her first trip to Grandmas and staying for three days. I told her she was going to Reno and that I would see her in a couple of days. She knew she was doing something special and all night she was walking around the house saying "See ya... Reno". She would wave at Hatcher and Gibson and say that over and over again. It was so cute. When I dropped them off she was so happy and smiling. Then her and Andy went to give Gibson a kiss goodbye and he bonked her head on the door. So I can kind of say she was sad to leave her mom.
Happy to go and then sad to leave mommy!
She got her on seat on the airplane and looks so excited.
I have called her a in the morning and at night and she doesn't even care that I am not there. It is a good thing but makes me miss her more. Grandma and her have gone shopping, out to lunch and have played with Grandpa Don's dogs. Her and Andy come home tomorrow morning and I will be so excited to have THEM both back.

The State Fair
We headed to the State Fair on Thursday. They have the cutest place called "Little Hands on the Farm". Children get to do everything a farmer has to do. Etta had so much fun. Gibson just slept the whole time.
Fun little face in it thingies.
Etta has her basket. Now she goes and takes an egg for the Hen house.
Time to pick some apples for the orchard.
Planting her veggies.
Harvest time, those veggies grow fast.
Riding the tractor to get some hay to feed the animals.
Brushing down the sheep, and collecting the wool. (Etta hated touching the wool)
With a cow you first need to feed them,
Then you can milk them. Etta really didn't understand what she was doing but it was so cute.
Once you took your egg, fruit, veggies, wool and milk to the market to sell them. They gave you fake money to go buy something at the general store. They had candy, chips, cookies and fruit. Our cute little Etta went straight to the apples, picked one up and took a big bite. Then we went and paid for it. I had so much fun going through the farm with her.
Andy and Etta went down the fun big yellow slide together. Then we headed to the livestock and Etta loved the live animals. She gave the little goats a kiss, patted the pigs and mooed at the cows. The last fun activity was riding the pony.
She rode the pony all by herself. She is such a big girl.
Next year Gibson will have fun too instead of sleeping the whole time in the stroller.
Just before we left we walked through the carnival area. Andy and I shot paintball guns at stacked jars. Andy of course knocked them all over and another time knocked two off the table. So he won a medium wolf and a cute fish. What a great daddy winning prizes for his children.

Happy Birthday Daddy
Andy turned 28 on Wednesday September 12th. I didn't have to much planned for that day but I was able to get a babysitter and I took him to his favorite place that doesn't allow kids, Fiddler's Elbow. My plan was to have us watch the Dodger game and just relax but the game didn't start until 8:00pm and so we headed to the Nickelcade. It was fun playing shooting games together, car racing and skee-ball. At the end we just tried to win a ton a tickets at Wheel of Fortune. We bought 2 recorders for Etta and the little girl she was playing with.
Then it was off to Cold Stone for a little birthday treat. Andy tried something different then he usually gets and was OK with it. But next time he will probably get his coffee ice cream with kit kat mix in.
For his birthday we are going to head up to Oktoberfest at Snowbird. They have lots of German food and desserts and fun activities for Etta. So pictures will be coming.

A weekend with out Daddy...Again
Andy and his boys went down to California this last weekend for a bunch of baseball and football games. Leaving Me, Etta and Gibson again.
Friday was so much fun a bunch of mom's in my area have started a little Music Makers class. We all get together for about an hour on Fridays and do fun songs, games and activities with our children. Much needed when you have kids. After attending this fun class we headed up to Park City to the factory outlets. Last time I went I received a discount survey from Banana Republic that I had to go use. Etta played on the play ground and the fun quarter machines. Then her and Gibson fell asleep allowing ME to have a great time shopping.
She just love the swings
Gibson waiting for Etta to be done swinging
Etta loved riding the quarter machines while I feed Gibson
Saturday morning we woke up at 6:30 and headed down to the Gateway mall so that I could push my two children in the stroller (weighing in at 50lbs) on a 5k run. I did a great job I would say being my first one since giving birth to two children. I ran/jogged the whole time and finished in about 40 min.
Smiling for the camera instead of stretching before the race.
Then came the worst part of the whole weekend. I wanted to get a cute hair cut to surprise Andy when he got home. But, instead I got the worst haircut ever. I hate my haircut and I will never take in a picture again to a stylist because they will just cut it however they want to anyway. Here are two pictures, one of what I took into her the other how my hair turned out. It may look OK in this picture but that is with the girl styling it. After the first wash man frizz-mania. It will be pigtails and hats until my hair grows out a little.

Gibson gets blessed
I want to thank all of you who came to see Gibson get blessed. Andy said some wonderful things and Gibson was a great boy. I was so rushed just before church I forgot my camera. My sister Jenny had hers and she was a lifesaver. I feel bad about not getting as many pictures of Gibson as we have for Etta so I was glad we could have some for his special day.
Grandma and Grandpa and Gibson. Gotta love the booties.
Me and my sweet little boy.
Sister and Brother (hopefully good friends too)

2 month check up
Gibson is 2 months and 2 weeks old and we finally got to go in for his 2 month check up. Everyone is asking how much he weighs and I have been saying "oh at least 10lbs." Well he is.... 9lbs 10oz and 23 inches long. So we have small babies and they grow slow. In the little growth chart he ranks in the 3-5% in weight and 44% in length. At least his head is more normal than Etta's. She was always in the low weight but in the upper 80% for head, his head is in the 20%. Of course the worse part was the shots and he was a trooper. A big cry, mommy wrapped him in a blanket and held him tight and he fell right asleep.
step 1: the weigh in, step 2: looked over by the Dr., step 3: Shots
Etta always has to make an appearance!

A New Nephew
My sister Sally was due at the end of September. But she went into labor Sunday early evening and went to the hospital to have her little boy. He was born about 8:51pm and was 6lbs. 6oz. and 18 1/2 inches long. They named him Peyton Joseph. We went and saw him Tuesday morning and he is just a little cutie.
