Working hard Memorial Weekend

Friday night we started the Memorial weekend off right. Andy brought home some live Lobster's for dinner. Etta and Gibson laughed and had fun with the Lobsters moving. Andy then cooked them and put them on the BBQ, yum yum!

Saturday morning we finished up our yard work in the front. We removed rocks, weeds and grass. Then we laid rail road ties, bark and 3 big whiskey barrels filled with plants. We still need to do the other side of the porch. It sure looks good.

I love it

Once the lawns where mowed and the weeds whacked. We set up the new slip n slide. As I was getting it out Etta kept saying "I am so excited I can't hardly wait", to funny. Etta and Andy had so much fun (Gibby was napping). Andy helped Etta down the first time, then he showed her how it was done. Etta played for a good hour. Watching Andy and Etta brought back some great memories of my slip n slide summers

We had a fun BBQ after the hard work and water play time. The kids had fun eating at the kiddie table where they could eat and play. Andy, Jason and I enjoyed our brats, veggies and homemade salsa at the grown up table. It was a beautiful night.

Grown up table! (dirt on the right side soon to have fruit trees and bark. Planters have veggies and herbs)

Gibby loved playing more than eating

Watermelon time! Etta and Gibson had at least 3 slices each. They just gobbled up as many pieces as their dirty hands and face would let them.

Yum yum

Snow White loves watermelon

Gibby just couldn't get enough

Gibson jumped into the sand box after the watermelon and had sand all over his face. It was just darling how messy he was.

Anni and Sarah joined us for the watermelon and playtime after the BBQ, then the kids got a bath and headed to bed.

The next morning we headed to the Market Street Grill for a great breakfast. The weather wasn't the best but we walked the Gateway Mall until the rain got a bit to cold. We just relaxed the rest of the day.

Memorial Day Fun. We took the dogs to the dog park in the morning, which they loved. After a few errands we headed home for some more Slip N Slide. Gibby didn't know what to think. After Etta would go down he just clapped and said "Good Job, Detta". Then I helped him (nicely pushed) down the slide. He wasn't a fan but enjoyed the water and pool the rest of the time.

Run, run ...

Slide. (She needed a bit of help)

We ended evening at our friends house for a BBQ and to celebrate Melissa's 30th birthday! Always fun to hang out with friends. What a great weekend!

Just having fun!

This last week we have been having a lot of fun.

Etta's dance is getting close to finishing up, and so it was time for Dance pictures. A few mom's thought it would be fun to have the girls hair do's up and curly. We had Sarah and Anni come over and we did the girls hair and make up for pictures. They were just darling.

Later that night we watched Anni and Sonny while Sarah and Kaniela went out to a family concert. The girls did finger painting with Jello and playing outside. Daddy took Gibby to the baseball game. We all had a great night.

Our good friends had a birthday party for their little Lake. The kids played at the park, found bugs, ate cake and had fun.

Lake and Etta are just so cute together

The Drive in is one of my favorite things to do during the summer. We load the futon, blankets, treats, and kids in the truck and watch 2 new movies for less then a night at the movie theaters.
Andy had worked down at Out N Back that day so he was really tired. Which means I get to choose the movies. We/I watched "Ghosts of Girlfriends past" and "17 again". I will say 17 again was my favorite and would love to watch it again.
The kids had fun eating popcorn, wrestling and then falling asleep. We all can't wait to go again.

Bouncing around at Kangaroo Zoo is always fun. Gibson loved it more this time and jumped, climbed and went down the big slides. He did find the Baseball blow up toy and spent a good portion of his time there. Etta was off here and there doing everything. She just loves telling me how she can climb up the BIG slide all by herself.

Trying to climb on everything

Ops... He loved falling down and saying ops

Bounce, Bounce...
