The first BIG snow

As most of you know Tuesday it snowed really good and continued until Wednesday early afternoon. Etta could not wait to go play in the snow. She has this book called "Snowman at Night" which she just loves. And every time we read it she says "Daddy and I make snowman." I tell her that we need to wait until it snows. Well she called me on it Tuesday night. I bundled her up and we all went out and played in the snow. Daddy and Etta made a little "Etta" snowman. I taught her how to make a snow angel. I think that was her favorite thing. She made about a dozen snow angels.

It amazes me how kids don't care about the cold and could just play in the snow forever.

M-I-C-K-E-Y MOUSE

Etta loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So for her birthday party I used the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. It was so much fun. Decorating and thinking up ideas for activities. We did a little treasure hunt to find mouse-ka-tools to play with. Coloring books with crayons, bean bags and bubbles. I think all of the kids had fun. I know Etta and I did. Andy's camera died after the bubbles so we didn't get pictures of her opening presents or eating Pluto's jell-o jigglers, Mickey's cupcakes and Daisy's delicious apple juice. Note to self: charge camera's the night before birthday party's.

Thank you to all who gave her a present and came to her party. Etta received so many wonderful presents and plays with all of them. She loves her tea sets, kitty cat purse, little dolls, and Dr. kit and just looks darling in the clothes she got. Uncle Brad came and helped and also bought her the 25Th Anniversary Care bear and she loves it too.

Go BYU Go

We were given this sweatshirt by someone and I so Saturday I put it on Gibby. Classic old school logo supporting the BYU. Brad came over to watch the game with Andy. Gibby was right there watching the game too. He doesn't pay to much attention to any other shows but sports, so I know for sure he is Andy's little boy.
BYU beat Wyoming but the boys weren't to happy about a delay in watching it due to Etta's Birthday Party. Gibson still loved watching Football with his daddy.
When other people get excited that gets him excited and he shoots his arms and feet out at the same time. BYU must have just scored.

My Little Girl Turned Two

Thursday was Etta's Birthday and she is now Two. She was so excited that it was her birthday and whenever anyone told her "Happy Birthday" she would reply "Happy Birthday". It was so darling. We had a fun day together making Birthday Eggs and Waffles. We went on tons of errands for a few items we needed for her Birthday Party on Saturday.
When daddy got home we eat a special Etta dinner some salmon, sweet potatoes and pop-corn (yellow corn) Etta's favorite. After dinner it was time to open presents. At first Etta was a bit confused, but after the first one she kept saying "more presents, please". She opened a pretty dress and a bear you color on from Great grandma Etta. From Grandma Donna and Papa she got books, two pretty dresses, and a my little kitty purse with a necklace inside. Oh and the next day she had to wear one of her dresses and she took her purse everywhere. We gave her Mickey Mouse, Minnie and Donald pens, a Mickey Mouse coloring book and 6 Disney dress up shoes. She was dancing all over the kitchen floor. She had a great day and when she was in bed I told her the story of how she was born and she just loved the "Etta" story.

Opening one of many Presents.

She had to taste the frosting.

She is wondering why she doesn't get the whole cake.

Some for her and some for Hatcher. Etta is a great sharer.

Gibson vs. The Jazz

Gibby's first Jazz game with Mommy and Daddy.

We took Gibson to his first Jazz game Saturday night. Etta has been to so many sporting events that Andy wanted Gibson to start going to more. We left Etta at a friends house, so it would be just Gibson, Mommy and Daddy. We gave him all the attention. The Tickets Andy bought were great they were 13Th row behind the basket. Well, they were great because we were close but being behind the basket you can't see the plays that well. Andy kept telling Gibson that Etta had never sat this close. (Daddy and son bonding)
Gibson laughed, watched and was the happiest little boy ever. He of course got the camera mans attention and was put on the big screen. He spit out his pacifier and gave the audience a big smile. Meanwhile his pacifier fell and drop behind the bleachers never to be found again.
The game was a blow out and by half time Gibson was sound asleep. He did wake up for the fourth quarter and was so excited that he was still at the game. It was so much fun giving Gibby that one on one attention. It's hard to make sure to give each child that attention when you have more than one.

Just before the game. This is how close Gibson got to sit.

Daddy and son...bonding. Sleeping during Half Time.

Etta is not to happy she wasn't going to the game. But when she got to her friends house she was really excited to play with Anni.

Sibling comparison

Last night I was looking at pictures and pulled up pictures of Etta at her 4 month check up and was shocked at how skinny Gibson is. Enjoy some pictures of Etta and Gibson at this 4 month comparison.

When Etta was born she weighted 5 lbs 15 oz

At 4 months 12 lbs 9.2 oz

Gibson at birth 6 lbs 7 oz

At 4 months 11 lbs 5.5 oz

I do think that Gibson will be a lot taller than Etta. In the pictures Gibson looks a bit longer than my chubby Etta.

I am sure this is how and why sibling rivalry occurs.

New PJ's

As the days get shorter and the nights get longer and colder. What do you need? Warm feety PJ's. Etta, Gibson and I went to Costco and bought the warmest and cutest PJ's. They are so cute and now they will be extra warm.

Cornbelly's and Halloween

I have been waiting for friends to email me pictures from Cornbelly's and Halloween but they never did, so here are the pics I took.

Cornbelly's

We went to cornbelly's with our friend Sarah and Anni. The girls slide down the fun slides. Gibson, Etta and I rode the cow train and then we were off to the toddler area. They had fun horse swings, wood tractors, slides and a big sand box full of kernels of corn. The girls are best friends and held hands to all the toys and then would push each other down the slide. Andy made it to cornbelly's just as we were starting to play in the corn. We covered the kids up to their necks in corn and took pictures (Sarah as these).
We stared packing up to go to another area when I noticed my wedding rings were gone. They had fallen off in the big sand box full of corn. Tons of kids were playing and throwing the corn everywhere so I just new my rings were history. I looked after Etta, Anni and Gibson as Sarah and Andy shifted through the corn. After putting a sign up that said "temporarily closed due to weather" (it was a beautiful day) and one and half hours later Sarah found my rings. YEAH! I am very thankful for friends.

Etta and Anni swinging on tires made into horses. Etta pushing Anni down the slide.

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween day. I dressed up the kids for Book Baby at the Library and headed off for the day. There is a Liberian at the Library that is Etta's favorite and so we took a picture with her.

Someone fell off a chair and they all looked away from the camera.

We went back home to pick up Andy and then headed over to foothill village for some trick or treating. Etta was a pro. She would say "trick or treat" and then be so excited to get candy. She wouldn't even take her bag she just held out her hands and then ran back to me to put the candy in the bag.

Posing for the camera before taking off for more candy.

We ended the night with Andy and Brad playing guitar hero and then leaving to go to the movies. I put the kids to bed and handed out candy to only 10 groups of kids. It is more than last year but still makes me sad. I am going to buy big candy bars from Costco next year and maybe the word will get around to come to my house.
