Baseball and Smiles

It was a wonderful evening last night at the Ball Park. The Bees won with 3 home runs and the score ending the game at 0-8.
Melissa, Joel, Amy, Jed, Nalani, Chari, Sam, and of course Jory and Ana were all there having a great time. Etta made the rounds to all and Gibson was taken good care of by Amy and Melissa.

Here are some fun pictures of Andy helping Etta put on his mit.

Gibson was smiling a ton before the game and I enjoyed holding him.

This morning I was working on getting Gibby to smile again and Etta said "Etta smile" so I just had to take some pictures of my two beautiful children smiling.

Here's to 5 years

Driving to Reno

Andy's mom got married this last weekend. We headed up to Reno, NV on Wednesday evening. We arrived at around 4 in the morning and Grandma Donna was up and excited to see her new grandson Gibson. Of course she was also excited to see and hug Etta.

I wasn't very camera happy on the trip and so I only ended up with about 6 good pictures. I hope to get some from my brother-in-law Jason so I can post some really great wedding pictures. Here are a few of the pictures I took.

Etta with her princess hat after Chuck E Cheese

We had a great time seeing family, playing black jack, enjoying a wonderful 5 year anniversary dinner and a beautiful backyard wedding. We also took Etta to Chuck E Cheese. She loved it. They were having birthday parties there and one area was blocked off for the parties. Well Chuck E Cheese came out for the birthdays and Etta crashed the parties by going in and hugging Chuck E Cheese. It was so cute but of course I didn't have my camera. I guess she will just have to have her birthday there this year.

Pictures of the week

Here are some fun pictures I have taken this week. Etta got a new hat and she looks darling in it. We also bought Hatcher his first dog shirt and Andy bought him some dog goggles. And of course we can't forget our favorite little boy Gibson. Enjoy the pictures.

Just another week in Paradise

It has been another fun week for us. My best friend from San Diego (now she is living in Tennessee) came to visit me. Her and her family came for her sister-in-laws wedding in Idaho. They arrived very late Thursday evening due to of course delays at the airport. Me being the best direction giver there is got them lost in Sugar house. So Andy got on the phone and helped them finally reach our house. The next morning they were treated with a great breakfast by Andy; bacon, eggs and bagels. They then headed off to Idaho.

Friday I was having a slow day and didn't have the most helpful kids that morning. Etta was stealing Gibby's pacifier and also just being a terror. My sisters invited us to the Zoo, but by 11:30 I still wasn't dressed for the day. Finally getting dressed Etta, Gibson and I feel asleep on the coach. My friend Angelica called us to go to the park. We jumped up and got out the door to head over to Liberty park. Angelica and Layla brought us a milk shake and then Etta and Layla played in the fun pool and streams they have there. Here are some fun pictures of them playing together. We swapped their shoes and they both noticed that the other one was wearing their shoes.

My goal was to get Etta potty trained but after 3-4 hours of peeing and pooping everywhere with only two successful attempts. I decided to give her another month.

Sunday brought my Friend Kaci back to my house. We just sat and talked for an hour or two and then talked Andy into sushi. We then headed off to bed so we could do some fun things on Monday.
I hope that Kaci and her family will come back because I walked her and her two little boys all over Sugar house and the reward was a Jamba Juice. We took our bubble machine outside for her son Crew and Etta to play. It was really hot so we stayed in the shade. After a few minutes a car pulled up and asked if he could take our picture for the Salt Lake Tribune. Of course we said yes so we tried to act like he wasn't there. And then he said to look in the Tuesday paper in the Utah section if we made the cut. He did use us on the third page under "bubbly summer".
That night was another fun Baseball game and the only picture I took the whole time Kaci was here. (I was a slacker)
I had a ton of fun with Kaci and it seemed like no time had passed by in our friendship. Thanks for the great friendship Kaci.

Copying Mommy

Etta is a great big sister. She will help me get diapers, wet wipes and put clothes in the laundry. She also loves to do what ever mommy does. When I feed Gibson I use nursing pads and Etta will just sit and watch me feed Gibson. Then I started to noticed she would lift her shirt up and try to feed her baby one day. She will also burp her baby and change her pretend diaper. She now will hand me her baby and say "boob", she wants me to feed her baby. But the funniest thing was she found these little baby slippers that are round and flat. She then stuffs them in her shirt and walks around. They are her nursing pads.

Gibson is growing about as fast as Etta did. So he still looks small but is filling out a bit. He will be Eight weeks on Saturday and will then go see the Dr. on Sept 4Th for his two month Appointment. I am excited to see what all of his fun stats will be.

The week goes by so fast

With two children and a busy Husband a week just seems to fly by. I will start off with the 24th of July. I had always wanted to go to the days of '47 parade and so this year I told Andy I wanted to go. He being the wonderful husband he is woke up at 4:00am Wednesday morning and rode his beach cruiser bike to the parade route to find us a spot. He had found one and set up camp with a blanket and his bike. Then some lady(wt) came over and started yelling at him that it was their spot. But they hadn't marked it and so after a lot of yelling, a security officer(not a police officer), and my husband not moving, he won. The funny part was that when the security officer came over to tell him to move Andy said "I'm sorry, are you a real cop?"
He called me to come over quickly so me and the kids headed out at 6:00am for the parade that started at 9:00am. Etta loved the horses and policeman ridding their motorcycles. Gibson loved the bands. It was funny he would be fussy, squirmy or crying and once those high school marching bands would come by he would fall asleep.

After a fun morning we headed home. Naps were taken by all and then off to the Bees Baseball game. The fireworks were great but I think they are getting too long. I would like 3 little sections of fireworks and then one large finale.

Two days later we were headed off to Idaho. Andy was signed up for the Spudman Triathlon in Burley and I didn't want to stay home another weekend. We have friends up in Ririe that just got back from teaching in China. I wanted to show them how much Etta had grown and Gibson. Etta loved playing outside at their house.

For all of you to hear again how great my husband is, Salt Lake to Ririe is about 3 1/2 hours, Ririe to Burley 2 1/2 hours and Salt lake to Burley is 2 hours. Andy drove instead of 4 hours drove 12. Now I can't give him any more grief about Jackson river trip, 1200 mile motorcycle trip and a California sports trip. Love ya Sweetheart!

This week we are just relaxing until the next big event comes our way.
