Easter Time / Spring Time

We had a wonderful Easter/Spring weekend. We colored eggs on Saturday. We buy brown omega 3 eggs and I was a little worried it would be hard to dye them but they came out awesome. Etta loved coloring them with crayons and then choosing the color of each egg.

Being really careful "doing it all myself".

Gibby watched and bounced, giggled and had fun too. He tried to eat the egg before it was dyed and Etta tried to eat the egg after it was dyed. She ended up with blue lips. I let Gibby eat the shelled egg. He seemed to like it.

Trying to eat the Egg with the shell still on.

Chowing down the hard boil egg.

We also painted picture frames and put stickers on them for Andy's Easter present. Etta's was pink with princess stickers, Gibby's was blue with baseball stickers and mine was green with flower stickers. We then went and picked up the pictures for our frames and grabbed a little candy.
We don't do the whole Easter basket thing. One little gift is just great (for now) with cute princess eggs and sports eggs. On Easter morning we hide the Eggs all over the front room. Etta found them and open them all up for all of us to see. She got a heart necklace and bracelet and Gibby got a fun toy truck.

We headed down to my parents house around 2:30pm.We took some family pictures.

Gibby and I hate looking into the sun.

All dressed up in Easter/Spring gear.

Hatcher got to come which we haven't figured out if he likes it or hates it.

My brother and I went out and hide the eggs before my sisters and their families came. All of the grandkids ran around the backyard finding eggs. It is so cute how excited children get trying to find eggs.

And then we ate.

YUM!

We had a great Easter and are so glad Spring is here!

Thanks for the Easter Packages:
Grandma Donna and Papa Don sent an Easter package with goodies, a Hat,a yellow duck and fun toys. Grandma Peggy and grandpa Randy bought Etta's Easter dress, a cute bunny candy along with a easter stamp and a wooden block set for Gibby. Etta left my parents house covered from head to toe in Easter stamps.

When friends come to Town we. . . PLAY!

Our really good friends are up here in Utah from Arizona, Angelica and Layla. We decided to take the kids to the Discovery Gateway on Thursday. When we arrived we noticed 2 school buses and thought "oh, great". Coincidentally, we parked right across from each other in the parking garage. Etta and Layla were so happy to see each other.
We reached the museum floor to find over 150 plus kids and parents. Yeah, we weren't even going to try to get in at this time. We headed over to Build-a-Bear to kill time. The girls just loved it. They looked over all of the animals and finally decided on two of them. Etta chose a bear with patches on it and Layla chose a cute orange kitty cat. They loved putting the hearts in their animals, but they loved giving them a bath the best. Now we were off to find them some clothes. Etta wanted a princess outfit and Layla just loved all of the clothes. In the end Etta's Bear got a pink and blue dress and Layla's kitty got cute little capri pants and an orange blouse. We ended the Build-a-Bear experience with naming the animals; Jasmine the Bear and Lou Lou the Kitty.

Gibby chillin'

After grabbing a bite to eat we headed back to the museum. We walked in and YEAH, all the kids were gone.
We made our way to all the fun areas:

Etta loved the water and music section.

Gibby rode a fun little car.

Over in the farmland we enjoyed gardening, finding eggs and riding the horse.

Gibby watching his big sister on the horse.

Gotta love the boots.

Now was the time the girls had been waiting for... Sesame Street. Upstairs was a huge Sesame Street exhibit about the body. They had fun seeing all of their fun friends, big bird, Elmo, Grover and touching, playing and exploring.

Etta vs Big Bird, the girls in Elmo's World.

Etta learning how food gets digested.

Etta walking down "Sesame Street".

Last we headed outside to see the Helicopter and have a snack. They climbed in and out but having bigger kids around made it hard for little toddlers to enjoy the Helicopter. So we just headed over to eat a snack. We had so much fun with Angelica and Layla. Thanks for the GREAT time and hope to do it again soon either in Utah or Arizona.

See ya later!

Disney Princesses On Ice

Just Me and My Mommy

Etta has been talking about Disney Princesses On Ice for about 3 weeks now. She saw the commercial on Disney Channel and has been so excited to go. Her Grandma Peggy gave her a Snow White dress for Christmas. I told her she could dress up like Snow White. She was telling everyone she was going to be Snow White the Princess.
Yesterday morning was the big day. Went spent about an hour just laying in bed with the kids and the whole time Etta kept saying "Daddy you aren't going to princesses and Gibby's not going to princesses and Hatcher's not going to Princesses." Daddy would say "I know but you are" and she would get the biggest smile on her face.
I had her take a warm bubble bath to get her all clean. I got her out and put the towel over her head and wrapped around her body, she says that is what a pretty princess does. We combed and curled her hair and put a pretty red ribbon in it, just like Snow White.

My Snow White Princess all ready to go.

We said goodbye to our handsome prince's and off we went. It was quite for about 10 minutes in the back sit and then Etta said "I just woke up and want to see princesses now". When we arrived 15 minutes later she was asleep again. I carried her to the Karl Malone statue and then woke her up. She was so Happy to be at "the princesses home". We were just waiting for Amy and Rylee to come. When we saw them, Etta was so happy Rylee was Cinderella. Both Princesses were Beautiful.
The Show was amazing. They always do such a wonderful job with the costumes and decorations. The two best times for Etta was when Mickey and Minnie came out and Snow White. She just waved and waved and waved. I love how kids believe in the Magic.

My beautiful little Princess

Etta couldn't keep her eyes off the princesses.

Waving to Snow White and just enjoying Princesses On Ice

A tired and sleepy princess.

We did have one little/big accident just 5 minutes before the show got over. All of the princesses came skating out. Etta was sitting on my lap. Suddenly my pants, thighs, butt were all wet. I set Etta on the floor and used as many napkins as I could find to dry my pants off. I heard fireworks but missed seeing them. After it was over we said goodbye to Amy and Rylee and went into the bathroom to change all of Etta's cloths and dry me off a little more. Luckily she didn't get it on her dress (that's why I was so wet).

We still had a wonderful time and I would do it over again any day. Thanks for coming with us Amy and Rylee we had a wonderful time with you both.

Fire Station

For Etta's Preschool class they were learning about helpers in the Community. They learned about Policeman, and Crossing Guard and Fireman. We then planned a field trip to visit the Fire Station. As we pulled up so did the big Fire Truck. It honked the horn for all the kids. We met the fireman and they showed us the fire pole and told us not very man stations have a fire pole anymore. Then they took us for a tour of their kitchen and training room. Then we heard their alarm and they had to leave. We stayed for about 15 minutes but they didn't come back which meant they were on a long call. We will have to go back and get the full tour. But Etta and Gibby didn't know any different and loved it. She tells everyone she went to the fire station and saw the firemen.

Gibby loved the fire station.

Silly week

We have had a fun and silly week. Here are random pictures and stories for you to enjoy.

With the warm weather I pulled out sunglasses and a baseball hat. I wanted Gibby to get use to wearing them. He hated the sunglasses. It was as if I had just put the worst thing in the world on him. I didn't even get a chance to snap a picture. He loved the baseball hat. He wore the baseball hat all day and put it back on his head even when I took it off him to change his clothes.

I couldn't choose just one picture, they were all so cute!

Etta has been taking hatcher for walks, teasing and playing with him in the house. She says he is her new best friend. Hatcher doesn't like it to much but it is so cute to watch her try to pull and tug at a 90LB dog with her 24lbs.

1st: Give Hatcher a treat

2nd: Grab hold of his collar

3rd: Pull as hard as you can

Here is my little princess dancing in her underwear. I was lucky enough to get her to put on her underwear. For about 10 minutes she was dancing with no underwear on. Her new dance is from Mickey Mouse clubhouse of course. She does a little "slide to one side, slide to the other" that is just darling.
