New Year's Eve at the Chase's

New years eve brought the fun Smith family to our house. We had such good food, a lot of good food, guitar hero world tour, laughing, playing and celebrating. Gibby had been sick all day and just laid on the couch with his football and wouldn't move (come 4 days later he was finally feeling better). We started the night off with some delicious artichoke jalapeno dip and bacon wrap shrimp or water chestnuts. Then came the fruit and make your own boboli pizza.
After we had stuffed ourselves we headed in and rocked out on Guitar Hero world tour. The kids played with us for a while singing here and there. They played the drum and sang some songs. Then BED TIME!!!

Sick little Gibby and he wouldn't let go of his football

Etta wearing her "New Year's Eve hat".

Etta and mommy on vocals!

Etta's turn to drum. Ashton thought she was awful.

Ashton's turn to show us how it is really done!

Etta loved the singing the best and Makenna wanted her turn on the drums

Darling little Cole was happiest in his mama's arms

Now time for the adults to ROCK. Lead guitar; Andy: Base guitar: Jake, drums: Traci and vocal: April. We had a nice set up until we reached Ah la la bumba. Yeah, I couldn't cut it on the drums. Then April flunked out and so to pass it I sang, Andy did the drums and April did the lead guitar. We finished up our set of about 6 songs, took a break, popped out the root beer floats and on to some Wii Fit.
Makeann got to stay up and is enjoying her root beer float

Andy always stoked playing the guitar.

Jake trying to beat Andy's score on the soccer ball game.

April working on her ball header moves on the soccer ball game.

Makenna excited to have her very own Mii to play some games with

We were having so much fun at Wii Fit we just about missed the count down. We did our own count down and popped some fun indoor fireworks. We heard fun fireworks outside and our neighbors were lighting off fun, yet illegal ones. Of course Andy had to pop out our illegal ones so him and Jake kept us entertained too.

We had so much fun with the Smith's. We wish everyone a Happy NEW 2009 Year!

Thanks again Chase fam. We had a b-l-a-s-t. And next time we'll have to post "butt shots" of the Chase's doing wii fit as well. Not that we don't have great butts, but we just want everyone to share in the love...ha ha ha.

I love Guitar Hero! What a fun New Years Party. Since Wade was lighting the fireworks for the city on New Years Eve, I was just at my parents home hanging out with them. I then ended up being way sick and going to bed early, so I can relate to poor Gibby. :(

Glad you had a fun time! I guess I am so out of it since I am not even interested in Guitar Hero, but yeah that we can all be different, right?
Hope Gibby can stay well for a while, no fun to be sick.

Poor Gibby...I wish we could have been there. All Tyler wanted for x-mas was a wii, & I wanted a wii fit...however it was out of stock & out of our budget. Good to know you guys have a both. We will definitely have to make it out there for a night like your New Year's Eve!!!
