Bees Batting Practice

Last weekend we headed to the ballpark. Not for a game but for batting practice at the ball park. The kids had a blast throwing and chasing the balls in the outfield. Andy and I would throw the ball pretty far and they would run after it. Yes, we were playing fetch with our kids.

Running after the ball

Gibby did get the ball every now and then from big sister

We headed to the dugout for some water, peanuts and pretzels. Gibson loved all the Bees logo's everywhere and we all had fun sitting on the same benches the players sit on during the games.

Cooling off and getting some refreshments in the dugout

Baseball cards!

Gibby in Heaven

We all got a chance to bat. We will need to keep practicing a bit more with Etta to keep her eyes on the ball. Gibby made contact with the help and good aim from the pitcher. He took off running! :)
I hit the ball a couple of times. They throw so fast. Andy did great and we all had a great time. Ben Johnson came out and gave Gibby high five and took a few pictures with the kids. It couldn't have been a better day. Cloud cover and not to hot. Can't wait until next time.

Etta's turn to bat

That would be a strike

Gibby's turn to bat

Gibby swinging, I believe this is the ball that he makes contact with

My turn- look at my stance, sweet!

Looks just like a baseball player- so hot!

High Five from Ben Johnson

Gibby had a peanut he had to show Ben and wouldn't let it go.

Etta not to happy having to stand by a baseball player, good job girl stay away from the boys

(Didn't mean to make the picture so big, I kinda like them larger)
