A day at Lagoon

Saturday was a very busy day for us. Andy woke up early and took Hatcher to the farmers market while I got the kids up, dressed, fed and ready to go to Lagoon. We left but made a detour to Old Navy. They were having a huge sale on their jeans. Tell me another place you can get jeans for $12 for adults $7 for kids brand new! Andy wore a pair today and man he looks hot. Who says you have to pay $50-$150 plus for good jeans not me.
Anyway after our little shopping spree we headed North. Once we got to Lagoon we loaded up and went straight to Lagoon a beach. We all jumped in the lazy river, which was freezing cold. Etta and I made it once around and then headed off to the kids slides. Daddy and Gibby went around another time or two. We spent most of the time on the kids slide area. After a bathroom break, snack and water break, Daddy going down the big slide and Etta getting hurt on her little slide we headed over to the food.

Andy had never been to Lagoon and I haven't been back since I was 15. We walked around the park looking at all the fun rides. Gibby fell fast asleep so we played around in the video game room for a bit. Etta won some fun sticker earrings, yellow DNA looking bracelet and a blue little dog.
He loved having the chariot all to himself

Etta has been talking non stop about how she is going to ride the merry go round at Lagoon. The minute she saw it she couldn't get on it fast enough. Daddy went with her and they had a great time on her little frog. We woke Gibby up for the Train ride. Which they both loved and looked at the fun animals they had there.

Happy to be going up and down and around and around.

Andy wanted to win Gibby a toy so he went to the "guess my weight" and a teenager was guessing peoples weight. Andy won she guessed the wrong weight. She wouldn't tell him what she guessed but Andy walked away with a green froggie for Gibson.

He wouldn't let the green froggie go for a long time

One last ride on the Carousel. I took both Etta and Gibby this time and we may just have to build on in our back yard. It would keep them busy for hours.

Happiest little girl in the world

What a fun ride!

Leaving Lagoon we detoured one more time before heading home. The Gallivan Center and the Rockin' Ribs Festival. We enjoyed some delicious BBQ from different local restaurants. We are fans of Sugar House BBQ but always looking for some good BBQ. I found my favorite ribs at Millie's but Andy is still fan #1 for Sugar House BBQ.

Once we got home Andy started working on some little delicious concoctions of his very own.

YUM!
