Saturday morning we finished up our yard work in the front. We removed rocks, weeds and grass. Then we laid rail road ties, bark and 3 big whiskey barrels filled with plants. We still need to do the other side of the porch. It sure looks good.
Once the lawns where mowed and the weeds whacked. We set up the new slip n slide. As I was getting it out Etta kept saying "I am so excited I can't hardly wait", to funny. Etta and Andy had so much fun (Gibby was napping). Andy helped Etta down the first time, then he showed her how it was done. Etta played for a good hour. Watching Andy and Etta brought back some great memories of my slip n slide summers

We had a fun BBQ after the hard work and water play time. The kids had fun eating at the kiddie table where they could eat and play. Andy, Jason and I enjoyed our brats, veggies and homemade salsa at the grown up table. It was a beautiful night.
Grown up table! (dirt on the right side soon to have fruit trees and bark. Planters have veggies and herbs)
Gibby loved playing more than eating

Scoscia and Hatcher getting their own hot dogs
Watermelon time! Etta and Gibson had at least 3 slices each. They just gobbled up as many pieces as their dirty hands and face would let them.
Gibson jumped into the sand box after the watermelon and had sand all over his face. It was just darling how messy he was.
Anni and Sarah joined us for the watermelon and playtime after the BBQ, then the kids got a bath and headed to bed.
The next morning we headed to the Market Street Grill for a great breakfast. The weather wasn't the best but we walked the Gateway Mall until the rain got a bit to cold. We just relaxed the rest of the day.Memorial Day Fun. We took the dogs to the dog park in the morning, which they loved. After a few errands we headed home for some more Slip N Slide. Gibby didn't know what to think. After Etta would go down he just clapped and said "Good Job, Detta". Then I helped him (nicely pushed) down the slide. He wasn't a fan but enjoyed the water and pool the rest of the time.
Run, run ...
Slide. (She needed a bit of help)
Here goes Gibby!
He didn't want to go down anymore

WOW! Your yard looks soooo good, you've turned into quite the Martha Stewart with that green thumb of yours:)
just saturday I was telling Savannah how we would put a tarp at the end of Grandma Rigtrups big slide and we would put the hose down it and slip and slide! I think you guys had the crocodile mile! How fun playing in the water in the John's sprinkling system!
Your yard is looking so so good! Ours however is a jungle of weeds right now! Actually if it stops raining they will probably be a fire hazard. OOPS.
Your little kiddos are getting so big...they are just so cute..what a fun week you have had
We bought a slip'n'slide this year too! Oh the memories of playing in the sprinklers in your front yard. Those were good times...even if I wouldn't get my hair wet!
Your yard looks great! I can't believe all the fun things you are growing. Keep up the good work!
