Last Saturday morning Andy and I headed off to San Diego - My mom and dad came up really early, picked up the children and dropped us off at the airport.
We arrived in San Diego and checked into our hotel that was one block away from Mission beach. We spent the whole day walking up and down the board walk. Then we met up with our friends Keith and Wendi for lunch. There was this awesome Wave House that you could watch people trying to surf while you eat.
They left and went to a wedding and so we rented bikes and rode up and down the boardwalk again. What a beautiful day and scenery. We ate dinner right on the beach and watched the sun go down.
We woke up the next morning and headed off to breakfast. Next we were off to the Stadium. At NFL games EVERYONE at the stadium parking lot tailgates. So we parked about 2 miles away. We made it to the Stadium parking lot. It was just crazy with tents, BBQ's and sports apparel.
The game was OK, the Chargers lost. But the experience was AWESOME.
Parking lot view.
The view from our seats.
Enjoying the game with good friends.
I will have to say the best part was Monday morning when I got a big hug from Etta and a big smile from Gibson.

There were plenty of Sunday mornings when we ran into traffic for that 1/2 mile from our entrance to the freeway and the exit for our Road. I couldn't believe the tailgate traffic for the Raiders/Chargers game... WOW! 1/2 mile up I-15 from the "Q" was where we resided for the last 21 months we were in San Diego.
I still love going to visit.
