Etta has been wanting to ride the bus for a long time. I think it started this summer when we met up with our Angelica and Layla. They had road the bus to the park and Etta has been asking and asking to ride the bus. She also sees the school bus out our window every morning and I have told her that bus takes kids to school. She then started asking if she could take the bus to school.
Last Monday I mapped out the UTA bus route and we headed off to Preschool at 9:13am. With only one transfer we made it to preschool just 4 minutes late. She was just beaming and couldn't wait to tell her friends.
Gibby and I headed off to the post office and park during preschool. After preschool we jumped back on the bus to head home. Etta sang "the wheels on the bus" the first part of our trip home. She loved pulling the little cored telling the bus driver to stop.
She still asks if we can ride the bus again. We will have to see.

Fall Activities - Part 3
FARMERS MARKET
Saturday over a week ago we headed to the last farmers market of the season. We walked around enjoying the fall morning, fresh food and pumpkin decorating. I helped Etta a lot with her pumpkin. She would randomly hand me items to put on her pumpkin and I would place them in the right areas. She loved her little witch pumpkin and had a great time. Gibson just like grabbing different items and throwing them on the pumpkin, going and picking up another pumpkin and tasting all the craft supplies. Andy decided on Gibson pumpkin. A hat, two eyes and a mustache.
We let Hatcher and Etta play in the dogie area for a while before heading back home to carve pumpkins.
It took me all day to carve two pumpkins. Etta loved playing with the pumpkin seeds but wasn't to into the whole carving pumpkins. Gibson hated even touching the insides. He did try to eat a few raw pumpkins seeds that was pretty funny. That night we placed a candle in our pumpkins and set them out on our porch. Then headed back inside to watch Garfield's Halloween special.

Fall Activities - Part 2
THE GREAT PUMPKIN FESTIVAL
A couple of Fridays ago we headed over to Sandy to enjoy hot cider, pumpkins, apples and watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". Our Family and the whole city of Sandy was in attendance.
We played around in the pumpkin patch for awhile. Etta sat on a few and then finally decided on one. Gibson wanted everyone he could pick up. Hatcher was just glad to be out with us. We ended up with to pretty big ones and off we headed to sit and enjoy the movie.
They had it projected on to a big white truck. Etta was great but liked switching back and forth between me and Andy. Gibby would watch a little, then eat a treat, give Hatcher a treat and then watch a bit more. He kept himself pretty entertained and kept Hatcher happy.
We ended the night eating some delicious apples and caramel. It was a great activity but a bit crowded. Then again I haven't found an activity this year that hasn't been crowded. Maybe next year we will hit them on week nights.

Fall Activities - Part 1
GARDNER VILLAGE
A couple weeks ago we headed over to Gardner Village to meet up with our Friends Erica, Libby and Lake. I love Gardner Village at Halloween time. Their witches are amazing and everywhere, the petting zoo is great and the pony rides are so much fun for kids. We went during UEA week, Bad Idea! It was packed to say the least. We managed to have a fun time. The petting zoo was a hit. All the kids loved the goats the most and loved the freedom of walking where ever they wanted. We then walked around looked at the witches and last hit up the face painting area. Etta got a darling little ghost and Lake got a spider. They were both so cute touching their faces constantly to make sure it was still there.

First Hair cut
Nope not Gibby's first Haircut, Etta's. She is almost 3 and had her very first haircut a couple weeks ago. We headed over to Cookie Cutters because Andy had her scared. She thought it would hurt her hair. They have a darling little set up and she watched a Barbie Movie while sitting in a pink car. They just trimmed it up a bit and let her take a lock of hair home. She also go a balloon and a cookie cutter for when we make cookies. She was so happy.
Gibby slept the whole time. His first haircut will be a lot sooner. He has crazy hair growing everywhere with a few curls and wont make it to the end of the year let alone 2 more years. (Watch for the fun Gibby's first haircut coming soon)

Jungle Jim's
We headed to Jungle Jim's a couple of Fridays ago. Etta just loves the place and Gibby was able to ride on all the rides, so it became an instant favorite for him too. They have tons of small amusement rides and a few video games. Andy didn't like to as much. He prefers more videos games, the nickel cade.
They rode the horses, swings, roller coaster, and much more over and over again. It was cute to watch them ride the space ship ride, and safari ride together without Andy and I. Gibby loved the jungle gym playground the most even though he could only bounce on the pad and didn't climb or slide down the slides. He just bounced or tried to stand up and play with everyone who came into the padded zone.
The goal was to get them both tired and then they would hopefully fall asleep on the way home. It worked and so we had a very successful night.
