A very busy Saturday - part 2

After my race we headed back home to set up our little swimming pool. We were going to be babysitting some good friends children, and Etta wanted to go swimming with her friend Emily. This was going to be the first time using our new swimming pool and Etta was excited.

I filled up the pool but Etta couldn't wait. (Still working on getting my backyard enjoyable. Hence the pile of dirt behind the swimming pool.)

Etta had to try it out to make sure it was going to be fun.

Our friends dropped their children off. Before we could go play we needed to eat some lunch. Their little boy Jonathan was extremely tired and so I put him down for his nap. Just than Gibson woke up and was ready to play. Once they were all dressed and sunscreened up we headed outside to climb in the pool.

The girls played, screamed with joy and had so much fun. I took tons of pictures. First they went down on their bums. Then it was tummy's and then they tried going down backwards. No matter which way they went they jumped up to go down the slide again.

Frontwards...

Tummy time...

now Backwards!

I didn't notice Mickey Mouse before but he was playing with them so I went in and got Minnie so they would both have a fun friend to go down the slide together with.

Mickey, Etta, Minnie and Emily

I am sure Mickey had as much fun as the girls did.

Gibson was having fun just sitting in the shade watching the girls play.

I just had to put him in the pool. He hated it. Maybe next time I will get in with him. Hopefully by his birthday he will love it.

Not to sure about the water. Crying and saying "Get me out!"

I put him back on the blanket and he enjoyed holding the phone and playing with his hat.

Clean up was a little bit more challenging. I wrapped the girls up in their towels and took them inside. They were both a little cold so we got them dressed, wrapped them in blankets and laid them on the coach. I then changed Gibby and put him down for a nap. By the time I came upstairs both girls were asleep on the coach. Just darling. We had a lot of fun with Emily and Jonathan.

A very busy Saturday - part 1

Saturday we woke up at 6:30 for a very busy day. We needed to be out of the house and to Liberty Park by 7:30am. I was running in a 5k everyone else was going to cheer me on. I have a lot of little races and big races coming up in the next 2 months and this was the first training race. We left the house by 7:20 with everyone loaded up and headed off to Liberty Park.

Etta and Gibson got cozy in the chariot and Hatcher was glad he was included.

While we were waiting we took some fun pictures. I was a beautiful morning.

Me and my little cheering team.

My amazing husband and crazy dog.

I got my number, stretched and waited for 8:00am start time.

The 5k was for Brain Injury and last year they had 250 participants. This year there was over 600 participants. Way cool. I run for the exercise, free T-shirt and goodies, But am glad the money I invest goes to good causes.

Off we go.

Here I come my first time around.

Sprinting to the finish line!

The route wasn't the best. 2 times around Liberty park. It is much better running a route you don't repeat the same route but I had fun.

My turn for Preschool

Me and 4 other mother's put together a little preschool for our girls. The girls are 2 and 3 and have fun playing together and love going to school. The school was 15 weeks long and each mom took 3 weeks being the teacher. We have had lessons from Winter, Valentines, Easter, People in the community,Birds, Insects, Farms and animals, and My body. The last 3 weeks are mine.
Last week we learned about Ocean animals and Summer. It was a lot of fun. I didn't take any pictures so this week I wanted to get some school action shots.
Pets was the lesson today. We learned about all the different kind of animals that people have in their homes for pets. The watched the fish swim in his tank and feed him some food. Then I brought Hatcher out. They were a little nervous but soon loved his company. They all took him on a walk each with their own leash.

Taking hatcher for a walk up the street.

They also filled his food bowl and water bowl. For our crafts they decorated doggie bones with food paint and then feed them to Hatcher (what a lucky dog today).

They made kitty cat puppets and danced with them to a little kitty song.

Four little kittens stretching way up high

Then they each got a turn to lick milk out of a bowl just like little kitty's do. They all thought that was pretty cool.

We ended school playing cat, cat, dog (duck, duck, goose) and playing in the sand box.

One more school day left about Zoo animals with a field trip to the Zoo. Then its Summer Vacation.

My Brother Got Married!

Congratulations Spencer and Kylee!

My brother Spencer married Kylee in the Mt Timpanogos Temple Friday May 9th. My brother was grinning from ear to ear the whole day. I am so happy for them both.

We had a fun time waiting from pictures. The weather was a little windy and chilly but was still a beautiful day.

Cute family picture

Remembering back when we got married picture taking wasn't a ton of fun. They took a few shots of family, parents and group shots and it was not as long as I remember mine taking.
Andy helped out with Gibson and his cousin while we did a sibling shot. He did a great job with the little boys.

I wasn't able to get all the shots that were taken but I thought this was great one with the Bride and Groom with their parents.

Peggy, Randy, Spencer, Kylee, Klyee's Dad and Mom

We had a delicious luncheon with ribs and salads and rolls. There was a little down time until the reception so we hung out at my mom's for a hour or two. Etta played the piano for us and Gibby crawled around on the floor.

Little Etta Mozart

Gibby has the crawling down, now for the walking.

Then we headed to the reception center. Andy helped get Etta some food. He was a good husband and so I let him leave to go watch the Jazz game (since he had tickets and wasn't able to go to the game). They had some great little sandwiches, veggies and cheese cake.

Etta loved the little sandwiches.

Etta, Gibby and I hung out the whole night. Watched them cut the cake, ate the yummy cake and played with cousins.
I loved their cake , it was beautiful and delicious!

My handsome little man!

Taking a little break from all the fun.

Playing in front of the mirror and they ended up dancing too.

I am so happy for my brother. It is also fun to see friends and family again that we hadn't seen in a while. Best wishes for my Brother Spencer and new Sister-in-Law Kylee.
