My turn for Preschool

Me and 4 other mother's put together a little preschool for our girls. The girls are 2 and 3 and have fun playing together and love going to school. The school was 15 weeks long and each mom took 3 weeks being the teacher. We have had lessons from Winter, Valentines, Easter, People in the community,Birds, Insects, Farms and animals, and My body. The last 3 weeks are mine.
Last week we learned about Ocean animals and Summer. It was a lot of fun. I didn't take any pictures so this week I wanted to get some school action shots.
Pets was the lesson today. We learned about all the different kind of animals that people have in their homes for pets. The watched the fish swim in his tank and feed him some food. Then I brought Hatcher out. They were a little nervous but soon loved his company. They all took him on a walk each with their own leash.

They also filled his food bowl and water bowl. For our crafts they decorated doggie bones with food paint and then feed them to Hatcher (what a lucky dog today).


They made kitty cat puppets and danced with them to a little kitty song.

Then they each got a turn to lick milk out of a bowl just like little kitty's do. They all thought that was pretty cool.


We ended school playing cat, cat, dog (duck, duck, goose) and playing in the sand box.


One more school day left about Zoo animals with a field trip to the Zoo. Then its Summer Vacation.

My Brother Got Married!

Congratulations Spencer and Kylee!

My brother Spencer married Kylee in the Mt Timpanogos Temple Friday May 9th. My brother was grinning from ear to ear the whole day. I am so happy for them both.

We had a fun time waiting from pictures. The weather was a little windy and chilly but was still a beautiful day.

Remembering back when we got married picture taking wasn't a ton of fun. They took a few shots of family, parents and group shots and it was not as long as I remember mine taking.
Andy helped out with Gibson and his cousin while we did a sibling shot. He did a great job with the little boys.


I wasn't able to get all the shots that were taken but I thought this was great one with the Bride and Groom with their parents.

We had a delicious luncheon with ribs and salads and rolls. There was a little down time until the reception so we hung out at my mom's for a hour or two. Etta played the piano for us and Gibby crawled around on the floor.

Then we headed to the reception center. Andy helped get Etta some food. He was a good husband and so I let him leave to go watch the Jazz game (since he had tickets and wasn't able to go to the game). They had some great little sandwiches, veggies and cheese cake.

Etta, Gibby and I hung out the whole night. Watched them cut the cake, ate the yummy cake and played with cousins.

I loved their cake , it was beautiful and delicious!

I am so happy for my brother. It is also fun to see friends and family again that we hadn't seen in a while. Best wishes for my Brother Spencer and new Sister-in-Law Kylee.

Playing in the Sand

We bought a sandbox last November. Great find at 75% off, you have to buy it when it's that cheap. I put it up over a month ago and the kids have been playing in it almost everyday since I added sand a couple weeks ago. I have been working in the backyard trying to get it looking better. Hatcher had free reign for 2 years. I haven't had a chance to take pictures at how cute Etta and Gibson play together in the sand box. Today during a break in the stormy weather the sun came out for a little "playing in the sand" time.

The same thing happens every time. They play for a little bit by themselves. Gibson eats some sand, makes sure it hasn't changed since last time he tried it. Etta just plays with the sand until she gets board. It is now time to put sand on everything. Sand goes outside of the sandbox, on the table, in Gibby's hair, in her hair and on Hatcher. Pretty soon they are all covered from head to toe in sand, laughing.

In the end we brush off all the sand, go inside and take baths. Then it's nap time.

Our first Game with the Bees

This last weekend was are first games with the Bees. We missed the home opener because we were in California at a dodgers game. What a beautiful weekend. Etta was excited to see Bumble and Gibson was happy to be outside with the family.

Etta and I shared a hot dog and waited for Bumble. By the fourth inning he hadn't came out yet so Etta started yelling "Oh, Bumble where are you?" She yelled this about 4 times and then saw him. She thought she was pretty cool for getting him to come out. She kept her eyes on him for another inning. Then he made his way over to us. Etta put on her best grin and Bumble picked her up and they danced for a minute or two. She then gave him a big hug and kiss and was happy the rest of the game. Bumble came over to give Gibby five and the minute he touch Gibson's hand he freaked out. It was the funnest thing I have ever seen. He didn't cry just screamed and didn't like it at all. Well, we have about 60 more home games so Gibby better get use to Bumble.

Jory and Anna where at the game on Friday and helped out with the kids. Etta snuggled with Anna. Until her apple juice was gone and then she wanted her own chair. Gibby was happy with mommy and slept a couple of innings.

Then came the 7th inning stretch. Etta and Daddy did a great job singing "Take me out to the ball game...

buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks... root, root, root for the BEES...


for it's one, two, three strikes your out at the old ball game!"

The Bees had a great weekend home winning all 4 games. We didn't go Thursday, (Jazz playoff game) Friday was our first official Bees game, Saturday Andy and Etta went while Gibson and I worked in the backyard and all of us enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon game before the Bees headed back out on the road. Can't wait until they are in town again.

Spa Day at Grandma Peggy's

A couple Fridays ago my mom put together a guys and girls day for her grandchildren. The girls were doing a Spa Day and the boys were headed off to the park with my brother Riley for kite flying.
My two older sisters were going to the Scrapbook expo and I thought my mom would need more help with the girls so I stayed for the spa day. (It sounded like more fun then going to a scrapbook expo).
We all wore dresses and didn't do our hair. When we go to my mom's the first thing we did was style all of our hairs. We added clips, elastics, glitter and fun. Each girl got her hair done and got to do someone else's hair.
Once our hair was all done it was time for lunch. Grandma Peggy took us all out to Winger's. We sat politely and had some delicious food.

After lunch we all changed into casual clothes so we wouldn't get our dresses dirty. My mom brought out the face cream, buckets for our feet and special soaking spa soap.
This was one of the funnest parts. All the girls loved watching a movie while soaking their feet in some warm bubble water. Grandma had the foot massager bucket and all the girls wanted to try it out.

Once our faces were ex foliated and our feet were all soft and clean. It was time for painting nails and make up. Toes were painted many colors and a cute flower sticker was added. None matching fingers were painted for fun. Then came the make up. Etta had a blast with this. Her cousin Chloe helped her with lips, eyeshadow, blush and glitter. Kaydee was in charge of me and she did a wonderful job. I got green sticker earrings, bright pink lipstick and some glitter all over.

We all had so much fun. And all the girls looked gorgeous.

Gibson hung out with us too and was happy when his guy cousins came back from the scrapbook expo to wrestle and do guy things with him.
